Would you like to learn about the komodo dragons’ family? Well if you do there are a lot of things I would like to tell you about this reptile family. Female komodo dragons make many different nests and burrows. They build their nests in the ground or on top of hillsides. They lay between 10 and 35 eggs. That’s a lot! The eggs hatch in April but must be protected from predators because they are almost extinct. Komodo dragons climb trees to stay away from predators. At age 7 komodo dragons reach adulthood, and male komodo dragons can live to be 60 years old, but female komodo dragons only live half as long. Thats pretty old for an animal. This is the komodo dragons family.
